The JOY & HOPE Ministry at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Media, PA, is dedicated to nurturing the faith of our youngest parishioners by providing a fun, faith-filled environment where they can learn about Jesus Christ, the Orthodox Christian faith, and the importance of love, kindness, and fellowship.


Who We Are

What are HOPE & JOY:

 

  • HOPE (Holy Orthodox Primary Education): For children ages 4-7

  • JOY (Junior Orthodox Youth): For children ages 8-11


Our program focuses on age-appropriate lessons, activities, and service projects that help children build a strong foundation in their faith while fostering friendships within the church community.


What We Do


Through a variety of interactive and engaging activities, children participate in:

  • Bible stories and Orthodox teachings

  • Prayer and worship experiences

  • Arts, crafts, and games with a faith-centered theme

  • Service projects and outreach to instill the importance of giving back

  • Seasonal and holiday celebrations to embrace Orthodox traditions

JOY & HOPE meets every Wednesday and Sunday at Michell Hall. Parents are encouraged to participate and support this vital ministry.
